It's very difficult to tell a story from many different POVs and it's even more difficult to take the story through many different time periods and keep both the characters' personalities as well as the different storylines straight but Misha Crews has done an excellent job of doing all of that. What truly sets Misha's book head and shoulders above the usual fare of contemporary romance novels is her absolutely fascinating, original supporting characters, especially Reed's grandmother (but when you learn the identity of his grandfather, he's pretty engrossing, too, as is how they met!!) but all the back stories are rich and contributed so much to the sheer enjoyment that I got from reading this special love story.

Misha has a real gift for writing and it especially comes through with her imagery which lets you feel like you are sharing the experience with the characters in the book or losing yourself in a great movie. The sentences flowed smoothly with a lovely style and the book also had excellent editing, so there weren't any jarring interruptions to interfere with my total enjoyment of the story.

I'm also pleased to say, for anyone who is bothered by either or both issues, that there is absolutely no profanity or explicit sexual scenes in this story! Fair warning, though, there are some issues and descriptions in the story that some people may be uncomfortable with having their younger teenagers read. I, personally, found them necessary to the story and I wouldn't have had a problem letting my daughters read this book. (Of course, that's hypothetical now since my daughters are both adults.)

Deciding to rate this story five stars was a no-brainer and if you want to lose yourself in a top-notch love story like nothing you've ever read before, then I highly recommend that you buy this book ASAP! Happy Reading! 😍

I downloaded this book as I thought it would be a good read. Unfortunately it let me down.The main story was interesting, but when it started to jump backwards and forwards in time, it left me a bit disorientated trying to work out who was who. I think it would have worked better starting the story back in the beginning, its a shame as the plot is quite good and I liked the two main characters. Other readers my think differently when they read this book.
I dont know if I am creative enough to express how awesome this book is... It enlays generational correlated stories... that create an awe inspiring tale!! Undoubtably a contemporary romance... but sooo much more. The type of story you walk away from with wisdom to reflect on yourself and possibly more respect for the choices of your elders (such as parents and grandparents) I WOULD BUY THIS AND MANY MORE KINDLE BOOKS BY MISHA CREWS!
I enjoyed this book very much. It was an interesting story and the characters were very well written. This was a book I had a hard time putting down until the end of the story. I enjoyed how the story developed along with the characters. I was kept in suspense all through the story until the end. This is an author who loves to tell a story in it's entirety and one I will definitely be looking forward to reading more in the future.
This was a really nice story. It was a bit slow in the beginning. The story was a bit choppy, because it went from present time to past times and back again. I was a bit disappointed by the end. I would have liked the book to end in the present. But the story line was just different enough that it kept my interest. I would recommend this for light reading and I would like to read some more of her books. I would have liked to know who bought the land at the top of the hill.. or did I miss that. Could have been Reed.
Ms Crews does a good job of weaving the incidents from the past with the current love story. I liked that Kate and Reed knew they were attracted, and that the struggle was only how to work out the relationship, not the artificial struggles and misunderstandings that lead to explosive arguments and running away like some other romance authors produce. The characters are well-drawn and realistic, and the plot keeps you turning pages. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is that I found the last flashback to be poorly placed...by the time the story was openly told I no longer cared because they'd already discussed it, several chapters before.
I was able to get this book for my kindle and thought it looked very interesting and would keep my attention, unlike so many others have. Being a person that has several favorite authors through the years, I have now added Misha to my list. The book was very well written, kept me clicking my pages on my kindle and would recommend it for a great read to anyone that likes a well rounded story. Could easily relate to the characters and it was not one of those what I call "far fetched" hard to believe stories. Am an avid reader for many years and am sure that if you get this book you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading~
The chapters jump from year to year and even different eras and that becomes annoying, especially as some of it didn't really contribute to the actual story, to me it felt like the author just did it in to fill some pages so the book would be longer. The characters had no little to no depth, the main woman is whiny and needs to actually grow up instead of acting like a love sick teen because of that I could not really get into this story.
